Broadcut Marine is fronted by Naval Architect and Marine Engineer James Wightman-Smith with support from a group of carefully chosen associates. James is professionally qualified (first class degree in Marine Technology [Naval Architecture] with honours in Small Craft Technology and a PhD from Newcastle University and a diploma in Mechanical Engineering) and a graduate member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects.

This advanced level of qualification is supported by a broad foundation of practical ability and over 20 years of practical experience. James is an accomplished welder, metalworker, electrician, woodworker and boat builder with experience in the engineering, building and marine industries.

Broadcut Marine is based in West Yorkshire alongside the Calder-Hebble Navigation canal at Caldergrove, Wakefield.
